Any young baby who appears to have abnormalities of muscle tone, posture and movement
needs assessment as soon as possible. Motor and sensory development, mobility, balance
and coordination, muscle tone and strength, posture and balance, oral motor skills
and feeding are areas of significant assessment.
Paediatric Occupational Therapy is provided for the following conditions:
Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Torticollis, Developmental Delays, Muscular
Dystrophy, Brachial Plexus injuries (Erb’s & Klumpke's Paralysis).
